Runner's High-Five Workshop
Bring more intention to your training. Learn the five pillars of yogic balance to elevate your running journey. Expect a blend of lecture, practical skills, and conversation, ending with a 10–15 minute mindful run applying these principles. We will close with reflection and of course, high fives!

Runner’s High Five Workshop:
During this workshop, you will receive guidance on how to utilize the five pillars of yogic balance to bring your running journey to new heights. Expect this workshop to be a blend of lecture, practical skills, and conversation. Towards the end, be prepared to do a 10–15-minute mindful run applying these principles. We will close with reflection and of course, high fives!
· Right exercise: Be mindful of aligning your training plan with your body’s needs.
· Right breathing: Create awareness of your breath to influence energy and thought.
· Right thinking: Invite a calm state of mind and cultivate a positive attitude.
· Right nutrition: Eat consciously, so your body can alchemize food into nourishment. Plus, tune-in to how you feed your body through the senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste.
· Right relaxation: Regulate the nervous system by incorporating physical and mental revitalizing practices.
Timeline is as follows:
10:30-10:45 am
· Welcome and Introductions
10:45-11 am
· Right exercise: Be mindful of aligning your training plan with your body’s needs.
11-11:15 am
· Right breathing: Create awareness of your breath to influence energy and thought.
11:15-11:25 am
· Break
11:25-11:40 am
· Right relaxation: Regulate the nervous system by incorporating physical and mental revitalizing practices.
11:40-11:55 am
· Right thinking: Invite a calm state of mind and cultivate a positive attitude.
11:55 am-12:10 pm
· Right nutrition: Eat consciously, so your body can transform food into nourishment.
12:10-12:20 pm
· Transition
12:20 pm-12:30 pm
· Mindful Run: Tune-in to internal awareness, 1 minute-each: exercise (effort), breath (awareness), thoughts (witness), relaxation (form), nutrition (sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste). Bring a watch, 5 minutes out & 5 minutes back. Everybody starts and ends at the same time.

· Transition
12:35-1 pm
· Reflection & Sharing
1 pm
· Finish with High Fives!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Bring a pen, notebook, and sports watch. Please bring a yoga mat. The studio has yoga mats that can be borrowed on a first come first serve basis. The studio also has yoga blocks, bolsters and blankets. Inside, you'll mostly be sitting on the floor or supported by props. Please dress to run outside.
